Hi. My name is Brittany owner of Cancer Doll. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and now a native of Dallas. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 26 and now in remission for almost 2 years. I've always aspired to be a person who is always positive no matter what obstacles are put in way and trust me, I have had many.
Being from a mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer and has been in remission for 17 years, up until the day I celebrated being out of Chemo for a year was devastating. Seems like I never get a break, but it's life and you have to just roll with the punches.
I was married at 24 and 2 years later "boom" you have breast cancer! I never let my diagnoses define me. This may sound a little weird but I embraced my diagnoses. That was the only way I was able to cope with it and getting a double mastectomy is not ideal at 26, but at least I don't have to wear any bras. My journey inspired me to come up with Cancer doll. Cancer doll is anyone who lives their life going through or after treatment with no limitations. Being bold, finding beauty and positivity in the good and bad times. I wanted to share that same feeling I had going through treatment and after. So the question is, Who am I? I am fearless, lovable, kind at times, open hearted to things I cannot control, strong as some would say, positive, smart, motivating and lastly I'm just me!
